Voucher Portability

Portability allows a tenant to take their Voucher anywhere in the USA. The receiving housing authority will either absorb the Voucher or bill the Bethlehem Housing Authority for the rental assistance in which they will remain a part of the program.

A tenant moving with portability must be in good standing with our regulations which includes rent and utility bills are current, and there are no damages to the unit which would exceed the amount of the Security Deposit. An applicant who is issued a new Voucher must currently reside within BHA jurisdiction.

4 Persons $19.750 8 Persons $26,050

Applications are taken on a first-come,

first-served basis on any Tuesday,

Wednesday, or Thursday from 9:00 A.M.

to 3:00 P.M. Only 8 applications
